Tiny Fingers

I had been trying for a while to get a nice macro shot of one of the twins holding my finger, and a couple finally turned out decently. To get the shots, I used a 12mm extension tube and manually converted to b&w.

The Twins Meet Their Great-Grandmother

We recently took the twins to meet Baba (their great-grandmother) and the rest of the family. Besides these pictures, I have a bunch of great video I still need to edit; hopefully I'll get to that soon.

The circumstances of this introduction weren't ideal, as it was right after my grandfather's funeral, but on the other hand it was a transition of sorts.

It was really great to see Baba smile... :-)

The twins and I watched the Terps take on Duke. You can tell how seriously they were taking the game... :-)

Izzie is quite upset at the Terps' loss. Zoe is just plain disappointed... ;-)

 

The twins brightened up a little when I told them that there's a chance the Terps could still make it to The Big Dance.

The Blizzard of Aught Nine!

 

 

I'm skipping ahead a little in my backlog of photos to post, as I am a little behind and these are time-sensitive. :-)

As most of you probably know or heard, for once Southern Maryland actually caught the brunt of a snow storm; we ended up with almost a foot of snow! Awesome. :-) At least until I had to clean off the cars, etc. :-(

We took the twins out on our deck for their first snow experience, but as you can see, they didn't quite "warm up" to the idea. Sorry, that was bad. As is usually the case when we try and take group shots, they were never quite calm at the same time, so after many shots, these were the best of the bunch. I was actually smiling in most of them, but those were the blurry shots that got cut... ;-p
