As some of you may have noticed, Casa Chornopeckyj has been down for a couple of days. Well, there's a good reason for it, although I don't necessarily like it. Blogger is mandating some changes that will affect this site (as well as the main DrikoLand site), and I'm attempting to work through them using this blog as a guinea pig. If you can see this, then I've succeeded and will fill you in more soon...
Update: OK, so the URL works, but photos don't. I'll see what I can do here (and hope that the twins don't wake up before I figure this out)... ;-)
Update 2: We're back in business! The references to the "missing files host" that I set up for older images must have taken some time to propagate through the pipes of the Interwebs... :-)
By the way, chornopeckyj.driko.org now redirects to www.chornopeckyj.driko.org, despite what I thought were correct DNS settings. Both work, though, so I'm not fooling with that anymore (I hope)... ;-p
Update 3: I'm going to go ahead and tempt fate by "upgrading" to a Google-hosted template rather than relying on the custom HTML one I've been using. This I can handle, although things may look a little different if I'm unable to exactly mimic the previous layout.
Update 4: All done! The template I was using was a standard one, so things should look pretty much the same, with some minor additions and removals from the sidebar. Things look to be loading a bit slowly; most likely the images are taking longer to load because Blogger has to go look for them at the "missing files host." Once older posts move off the front page, I'm hoping that things will speed up. That requires new posts, so I'll hopefully remedy that soon... :-)
